Although her father-in-law and husband were Masons, she claimed to have written 35 articles exposing Freemasonry's evil & destructive elements. van Hyning was one of the founders of the anti-war organization, We, the Mothers, Mobilize for America, and editor of the "Women's Voice," a widely read nationalist publication.
