Berkeley: Free Church Publications, 1969-1970. The first three directories (of five published) “list[ing] Christian groups which represent grassroots ecumenism, and are serving the oppressed and working for peace and liberation.” These were “liberated” or radical churches or church-related organizations listed by state. The directories were published by the Free Church of Berkeley, a hippy church and experimental ministry that lasted from 1967-1972.
