Theoretical Review: A Journal of Marxist-Leninist Theory and Discussion (21 issues)

Tucson: Tucson Marxist-Leninist Collective, 1978-83. A broken run of 21 issues (of 31 ultimately published) of the Tucson Marxist-Leninist Collective’s (TMLC) theoretical journal. TMLC was officially founded in 1975 out of a Marxist-Leninist study group that included members of the John Brown Party, an anti-racist collective modeled after the Black Panther Party, and a group of students at the University of Arizona inspired by the New Communist Movement. The group quickly moved beyond the study group format and organized around labor union activity, the pro-busing movement, local housing struggles, a prisoners support group, and other community struggles. They also published the Red Desert Bulletin. The group and its publications lasted until 1983. Issues include Vol. 1, Nos. 6-7, 9-14, 17, 20-31
