Oakland: Uhuru House, [1983]. A flyer documenting the dispute between the African People’s Socialist Party and their landlord Asher Levine, who they accuse of being a slumlord. Following Levine’s neglect of Uhuru House, the APSP began withholding rent and demanding reparations. Levine countered by “harassing” the group and numerous APSP members were arrested during ensuing protests.
