A flyer for a Gathering of Tribes at the Fens

[Boston?]: n.p., [ca. late 1960s]. An anti-Vietnam War flyer produced in anger and haste following military action in North Vietnam. The author employs standard New Left vernacular co-opted from Native American culture to announce a “gathering of tribes” and “war council” at the Fens, presumably at Boston University. The idiomatic expletive, “Fuck This Shit” is printed along the bottom half, which may or may not have had its intended galvanizing effect.

Hand-drawn then mimeographed on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet. Old folds, three hole-punched along the right edge. Item #9588
