A poster announcing a demonstration organized by the Partisan Defense Committee against the Klan and other white supremacists in Springfield, IL, on January 16, 1994. The Klan was protesting the existence of Martin Luther King holiday, which was first observed in 1986. Approximately 55 white supremacists were met by 350 counter-protestors who threw snowballs and batteries, but the protest was primarily peaceful.
