A large newsprint poster celebrating Mao produced by Bob Avakian’s Revolutionary Communisty Party, USA, on behalf of the Revolutionary Communist International (RCI). The RCI was founded in France in 1984 by 17 Maoist organizations, including the RCP. Avakian and other Party leaders fled to France in the early 1980s after facing felony charges related to a militant protest against Deng Xioping in 1979.
