Culiacán, Sinaloa: 1961. A single issue of this leftist Sinaloan newspaper affiliated with Comité “Antonio Rosales” Pro Paz Mundial. The content features a lengthy article by ex-Mexican President, Lazaro Cardenas, reports from the Latin American Conference for National Sovereignty, Economic Emancipation and Peace and the First Latin American Youth Congress, an article from Reinaldo González, President of Comité “Antonio Rosales”, and other political commentary. This issue is illustrated with four large engravings featuring pacifist and anti-imperialist themes. The largest (which takes up the entire rear cover), by the “missionary of engraving” Erasto Cortés Juárez, is an award-winning piece titled "La Civilización Progresista en la Lucha Contra la Guerra.” Other engravings by Jose Muro Pico, and two unidentified artists, all in the vein of the Taller de Gráfica Popular.
