Benefit Folk Concert for Anti-Racism Conference (April 7 & 8)

[Lansing?]: SDS & OAS. A poster promoting a folk concert at Michigan State Univ. hosted as a fundraiser for an anti-racism conference scheduled for April 7-8, 1973 (?). The concert, held in Phillips Cafeteria, featured Peter Corey & Paul Perpich, Mary Sue Herdliska and Mary Jo McElheron and was sponsored by SDS and OAS (Organization of African Students?). This SDS was the SDS-WSA faction that emerged from the disastrous 1969 conference. They focused on anti-racism and workers’ rights until 1974 when they became the Committee Against Racism. So although we were unable to determine what year this conference was hosted, it was pre-1974.

Orange stock (11” x 17”) printed in black. Light wear, a few creases, but about Near Fine. Item #8671
