A NOW document criticizing anti-ERA women’s organizations like “Hot Dog”, “HOW”, “Fascinating Womanhood”, “Total Woman” and “Stop-ERA” and right-wing women such as Phyllis Schlafly, who claim to have speak in the interest of homemakers, but who NOW allege have done nothing to advance or safeguard their rights as such. The document then enumerates the many accomplishments of NOW and challenges the aforementioned groups to produce their own record; otherwise, “Homemakers, keeping in mind all we have done in their interest in the past, might better take our world for it - we all need the ERA.
