Arlington: National Socialist White People's Party, 1967. Although numbered Vol. 7, No. 1, this was the first issue of the National Socialist White People's Party's (formerly, American Nazi Party) newspaper, which continued the Rockwell Report. This was the only issue published before NSWPP leader George Lincoln Rockwell was assassinated by ex-party member John Patler and the party had planned to distribute this issue in D.C. the day of Rockwell's death. The paper's title, which was also the title of Rockwell's concurrently published book, had become the rallying cry of the NSWPP the previous year when it led violent protests in Chicago against black enroachment into white neighborhoods. It also initiated phase two of the Party's movement to remake its crude image into something more palatable for the majority of white Americans who would never support overt National Socialism.
This issue features alarmist headlines, content and illustrations on the rise of the black power movement and the need for militant white solidarity. Content includes an editorial by Rockwell, an introduction to the newly named NSWPP and the party's new program, racist cartoons, short unsigned articles on black power leaders, anti-white legislation, and the ineptitude of the Klan and Kosher Conservatives.
