Chicago: Proletarian Party of America, 1925-26. Three issues of the magazine of the Proletarian Party of America (PPA), which began as a news sheet for the left-wing faction inside the Socialist Party of Michigan (from which the PPA emerged in 1920). The Proletarian began publication in May 1918 and ceased in 1931 when it was replaced by Proletarian News. The group moved to Chicago around 1924 and in 1928 took over the famed Marxist publishing house, Charles H. Kerr. These issues includes articles on the labor movement, Socialism, international movements, etc. Issues include Vol. VIII, No. 2 (Feb., 1925), Vol. VIII, No. 8 (Sept., 1925), and Vol. IX, No. 9 (Sept. 1925).

Stapled, illustrated wrappers (12" x 9"), each issue 16 pp. Minor chipping to edges, but a very good run. Item #14888
