A pro-segregation book written by the author when he was a student at UCLA and self-published by him in 1965 after he was unable to find a publisher (he suspects that he was a "victim of New York discrimination"). The study provides a history of segregation in the U.S., charts the rise of the increasingly militant "Negro revolt," analyzes the role of the Supreme Court and governmental bodies in foisting integration onto white society, and documents the rise of white nationalism - which the author is sympathetic to - and the need for organized white opposition. Peppered throughout are tables of data and photographs showing mixed race couples and rioting blacks. The book's cover photograph was taken from a race riot in Nashville in 1963 and published in the New York Post, which the author maintains was cropped to hide the knife brandished by one of the black participants. 50 years later, Walters published a similarly provocative book, Facing Reality in American Education: Why the Racial Gap in Academic Achievement Exists (2015), which he dedicated to the controversial psychologist and writer Arthur Jensen.
