New York: American Committee for Non-Participation in Japanese Aggression, 1938. Second Printing. The American Committee for Non-Participation In Japanese Aggression was founded in mid-1938 by educational missionary to China Harry B. Price, his brother Frank, and a small group of pro-Chinese missionaries, foreign policy figures, and writers. Their aim was to develop a program of political action that would mobilize public support around Congressional legislation for an arms embargo against Japan. Their first publication was the pamphlet America's Share in Japan's War Guilt, in which they compiled quotations from prominent politicians, church leaders, the press, etc., as well as a Q&A section, various resolutions, articles, etc. Also included are two brochures, "America Supports Japanese Aggression (1939) and "What Can We Do to Stop America's Participation in Japanese Aggression?" (1939), a pocket guide for consumers on how to support a boycott on Japanese goods organized into 'Buy' and 'Don't Buy' columns, and a contribution envelope.

Stapled, illustrated wrappers (7 ½” x 5 ½”), 80 pp., Light edge wear, else very good. Brochures varying sizes, pocket guide is printed in red and black on both sides of an 8 ½” x 4" sheet of thicker stock. All uncommon. Item #14793
