A small run of Dilling Bulletins
Chicago: Elizabeth Dilling, 1961(?)-63. Five scarce issues of Elizabeth Dilling's right wing, anti-Semitic bulletin, which continued her Patriotic Research Bureau newsletter that she began during the late 1930s. These newsletters were extensions of the obsessive research she compiled into her right wing bestseller The Red Network—A Who's Who and Handbook of Radicalism for Patriots (1934) and her less successful follow-up, The Roosevelt Red Record and Its Background (1936).
Each issue of the bulletin was crammed with Dilling's unfiltered, conspiracy-laden, perspective on Communists, Jews, Christianity, American nationalism, internationalism, racial integration, and politics. Issues often included photostat documents with her editorial remarks, letters from supporters, reviews or commentary of other right wing sources, and Bible verses. She published the bulletin right up until the time of her death in April, 1966. Issues include: July-August, 1962, September-October, 1962, November-December, 1962, March-April, 1963, and an undated issue focused on exposing Barry Goldwater that appears to be from 1961, although one of her sources is dated 1963.
Side-stapled, mimeographed 11" x 8 ½” sheets, pagination runs from 14-34 pp. Issues are generally very good, although one issue has a detached fina leaf that has some closed tears along the top edge; another issue has some staining along the bottom edge (not affecting text). Item #14712
