Boycott Coors Beer flyer

Raleigh: Black Workers for Justice, [198-]. A two-sided flyer calling for a boycott of Coors beer for its racist, anti-labor and anti-progressive corporate policies. The recto charges William Coors with being a slavery apologist and for propagating the theory that blacks are intellectually inferior to whites. At the bottom is a list of Coors’ racist, anti-labor and generally right wing tendencies. The verso provides a more detailed history of Coors' and the Coors family's anti-progressive tendencies.

Black Workers for Justice was unofficially formed in 1981 out of a labor dispute led by black women workers at a K-mart in Rocky Mount, NC. It became a statewide organization in 1982 and continues to organize black workers today.

Printed on both sides of a 14" x 8 ½” sheet. Moderate soiling and fainst dampstaining evident to both sides. Item #14269
