Role of Women in Society

Los Angeles: American Eugenics Party. A publication by the American Eugenics Party arguing that "women are more and more deviating from their proper role in society." The AEP disagrees with two equally extreme notions concerning women's role in society: that they are either the same as men given the same opportunities or that they should be relegated to a subservient, child-like role in society. Instead, the AEP discusses the similarities, differences and complimentariness of women and men, and argues that the woman's role in helping foster a eugenic society has to conform to their emotional, psychological and physiological disposition. This includes outlawing women's suffrage, as well as inter-racial marriages.

The AEP was an obscure, pseudo-scientific white supremacist group based in California during the 1960s. Samuel Andrisani was the group’s primary spokesman.
