Vote for Victory in Korea - Vote for Eisenhower Nov. 4th
Los Angeles: Democrats for Eisenhower, [1952]. A two-sided flyer issued by the Los Angeles chapter of Democrats for Eisenhower urging voters to elect Eisenhower to secure a victory in Korea. The recto features an illustration of a soldier and a paragraph on the inability of Truman-Stevenson to win the war in Korea. The verso argues that Communists want Ike to lose because they know he will "win the war and win the peace." The names listed at the bottom of the verso as representatives of Democrats for Eisenhower are Irene Dockweiler and Oliver Carlson. Notably, Carlson was the Swedish-born founder of the Young Communist League of America and member of a number of Communist organizations before becoming an anti-Communist and writing about Communist infiltration of Hollywood.
