Living By Natural Law: An Outline of a Real Synthetic Philosophy Founded upon the Prime Factors of the Universe and the Seven Sense Organisms of the Human Body

Seattle: Lowman & Hanford, 1906. A work by the vitosophist John Edwin Ayer (1855-1932) on the natural laws of vitosophy as expressed by the senses, temperaments, and functions of the human body. This includes the study of phrenology, human virtues, bad habits, hygiene, food, race, education, physical exercise and reproduction. In his chapter on the Law of Races, Ayer describes the new American race, which he maintains cannot include Southerners due to their ongoing practice of racial inequality. This was Ayer’s only work, which was heavily influenced by the work of Prof. Samuel T. Fowler (author of Genetics) and the founder of vitosophy, William Windsor. The last page is an advert for Windsor’s Boston School of Vitosophy where Ayer earned his Master’s in Vitosophy (M. V.).
