Montana Citizens Council Opposed to Communist Inspired Political Action Groups

Billings, Montana: [Printed by] Billings Gazette, [1946]. A pamphlet from the Montana Citizens Council (not to be confused by the later racialist Citizens Councils formed in the South) opposing the CIO-PAC's influence in 1946 Congressional elections in Montana. The text describes the failed attempt by the PAC to elect Leif Erickson to Montana's governorship in 1944 and his continual solicitation of the group's help in 1946. It further describes the PAC's socialistic leanings and the devastating effect that increased bureaucratization would have on Montana's farming and cattle industries.
