Japan's Dual Rulership: Political-Religious-Zodiacal
Los Angeles: New Age Press, [1938]. One of many pamphlets by the Rosicrucian writer and publisher on Japan's political, religious and Zodiacal duality ("That Aries and Libra are both prominent in the Japanese national character is evident to everyone" [p. 3]). Heline investigates this duality in the context of Japan's invasion of China beginning in 1937, and concludes: "Japan is a good pupil, an efficient racial instrument, a serviceable channel through which great national and international designs are being worked out under the direction of the Inner Government of the World. But he warns that their current mistakes and aggression will lead to retributive justice and painful penalties, which will lead them through a purative process (p. 36).
Theodore Heline was married to Corinne Dunklee Heline (1882-1975) who’d been a student of Rosicrucian Fellowship founder Max Heindel. They founded the New Age Press in Los Angeles and were affiliated with the New Age Bible and Philosophy Center. Heline was the long-time editor of “The New Age Interpreter.”
