The Politics of Rape

Buffalo: Friends of Malatesta, [1971?]. A reprint by an obscure anarchist group in Buffalo of Susan Griffin's landmark article on rape originally published as “Rape: The All-American Crime” in Rampart magazine. Griffin argued that rape was entagled with patriarchy and that only its dismantling and the reorganization of gender roles would eliminate it. Griffin would later write a book on the subject, Rape: The Politics of Consciousness (1979).
