Philadelphia: Black History Museum Committee, 1970. An anthology of black Philadelphia poets and published by the Black History Museum, which was founded in 1968 to preserve the legacy of black accomplishment by collecting and making accessible works of black history and arts. One of the contributors to this volume, James Spady, was a museum co-founder and would go on to become a notable journalist. Many of the contributors were from area high schools, colleges and universities.
