The Murdered Accuse! Tortured, raped, murdered, maimed! England! The Murdered Accuse You! [with] The Real Purpose of England's Intelligence Service

Hamburg: [Fichte Bund?], [194-]. Two anti-British propaganda pieces from the Fichte-Bund, the propaganda agency founded by Heinrich Kessemeier in 1914 (and later run by his son, Theodor). The first item is a flyer showing six gruesome photographs of dead, and in some cases mutilated, bodies of German civilians in Poland. The flyer references the massacre of ethnic Germans in Bromberg - which was dubbed 'Bloody Sunday' - Posen and Briesen and blames British propaganda for instigating the horrific attacks. Germany later used these attacks as a justification for its invasion of Poland.

Also included is a two-page article titled “The Real Purpose of England’s Intelligence Service!” written by Theodor Kessemeier that was originally distributed with the aforementioned flyer. Besides providing more details on the massacres and Britain’s role in fomenting them, Kessemeier also accuses Britain of trying to “influence the American people to regard the Jewish-British war-mongering in the United States with a benevolent attitude.”

The photo-flyer is offset printed on an 11 ¼” x 8 ¾” sheet. Tiny split at old folds, but a very good copy of a scarce flyer. The article is printed from typescript on the rectos of two 11 ¾” x 8 ¼” sheets. Three-hole punched, creases from folding, but very good. Neither found by us in OCLC. Item #12442
