Black control of the Black community - vote Socialist Workers in '72

New York: Socialist Workers Party, [1972]. A small poster featuring the election slogan of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) printed against the Pan-African flag designed by Marcus Garvey's UNIA in 1920. The flag symbolized freedom, pride and the political power of black Americans. The SWP first used the slogan Black Control of the Black Community in the 1968 campaign to elect Fred Halstead as President and Paul Boutelle as Vice-President. It was subsequently used in 1970 and 1972 campaigns.

Offset printed in red, black and green on white stock, the poster measures 11" x 17". Fine condition. Item #12126
