An issue of Seattle’s underground newspaper featuring bold cover artwork by the Helix’s artist and associate editor, Walt Crowley, announcing his candidacy on the Peace and Freedom Party ticket for legislator. Also includes a multi-color centerfold spread on Crowley, in which he discusses his platform. Other notable content includes a psychedelic poster of a nude woman inside the covers, full page color adverts for Jefferson Airplane and Jimi Hendrix, a short news article on Native American fishing rights at Frank’s Landing, LNS and original articles on various radical and countercultural issues and events, and a full page Crumb comic.
