A quiz devised by two NYU Institute for Afro-American Affairs instructors highlighting the contributions and achievements of African descended peoples, primarily in the U.S. The quiz is organized into four sections: Part I - People and Their Work; Part II - Places and Events; Part III - Sports, Entertainment and the Arts; and Part IV - Science and Economic Life. The pamphlet was commissioned by the Sperry and Hutchinson Company, the creator of the popular Green Stamps collected by American consumers, and dedicated “to the goal that black history and culture will soon be rightfully recognized for its role in enriching the lives of all Americans.”. First published in 1971, the pamphlet was reprinted through 1978.
