A one-off tabloid “created, published & edited by an anonymous spurt-phantom at a secret location in the Lower East Side.” The anonymous spurt-phantom was Ed Sanders, with contributions from Leonard Lyons and poet Michael McClure. Content includes a 13-point Statement of Purpose (all related to genitalia or sex); “The Lyons Den” by Leonard Lyons, with bits of gossip related to well-known counterculture personalities and poets; an obscene centerfold comic by Sanders titled “The Adventures of Supersnatch”; a Dick Literary Quiz; a poem by McClure, “McClure! For Anger”; etc.
Tabloid format printed on higher quality paper, 8 p., illustrations by Sanders, a William Beckman fellatio photograph. Crease from folding, some faint toning, else a well-preserved copy. Item #10250
