Angola: National Liberation and the U.S. Left, 1974-1976

Milwaukee: Milwaukee Alliance, 1979. A position statement of the Milwaukee Alliance (MA) on the developments in Angola up to 1976. The statement was published in order to differentiate the MA from three other Organizing Committee for an Ideological Center (OCIC) organizations that co-signed a paper entitled, “Opposition to Revisionism Is Not Ultra-”Left”ism: Why the OC Should Reject Principle 18” (on U.S. imperialism as the main enemy of the peoples of the world).

The Milwaukee Alliance was a Marxist-Leninist group that emerged in 1976 from a split in the Wisconsin Alliance. It joined the OCIC in 1978, which encompassed the bulk of the anti-dogmatist, anti-revisionist forces (see, The Organizing Committee for an Ideological Center).
