[Washington, D. C.?: Z.I.P.P.Y.], 1985. An 8 ½” x 11” flyer for the 1985 Annual Smoke-In in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the Zippies, The Committee to Make Reagan Face the Music and Eat the Rich. Featuring an illustration of Ronald Reagan with a gun firing a heart to his head and captioned: “Reagan Puts Wreaths on Nazi Graves and He Funds the Murder of Innocents in Central America & Abroad. He Contributes to the End of Life on Earth with the MX Missile.” The flyer promises “live bands,” and of course, “grass.” The Zippies emerged from a 1972 split with the Yippies and were initially led by “High Times” founder, Tom Forcade.
