New York: The American Mercury, [1958]. An offprint from the right-wing publication “The American Mercury” on the increase in DDT production and spraying and its attendant health consequences. Longgood contends that the U.S.’s recent pest infestation is due to poor soil fertility, which is then exacerbated by poisoning the soil further with pesticides in an attempt to kill the pests.
