"War Debts:" Contra Account Against the United States of America

London: The Unity Band, 1934. First edition. Originally published in the British Fascist’s journal, "The British Lion" - which Lt.-Col. Oscar Boulton & his Unity Band bought out in 1932 - Lane lambastes the U.S. for trying to collect her WWI war debt and contends that America sold Britain faulty munitions and mishandled money that was never accounted for.

Col. Arthur Henry Lane (1868-1938) was one of Britain's most active anti-Semites. His most notorious work was The Alien Menace and he was associated with nearly every extreme right group operating in Britain before WWI. One of those organizations was Unity Band, founded by Lt.-Col. Oscar Boulton around 1930, which he ran almost single-handedly until it dissolved in 1939.
