The Long Island Council of Long Island AFT locals, American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, [1963]. An expose of the radical right’s attempt to undermine the public school system by censoring textbooks, banning authors, capturing school board and PTA seats, and gagging teachers through intimidation. The five right-wing members of the Levittown, Long Island school board are profiled and accused of using the Information and Education Association (IEC) to enact JBS-style censorship and character assassination of opponents. Concludes with various suggestions for exposing the JBS and other rightists in local communities.
