End Exile

New York: American Committee for Protection of Foreign Born, [1961]. A pamphlet issued by the American Committee for Protection of Foreign Born to highlight the cases of Pedro Gonzalez, William Mackie, Hazel Wolf, Hamish MacKay, Refugio Martinez, and other Communist sympathizers who were targeted under the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (McCarran-Walter Act).

The ACPFB was formed in 1933 by the ACLU and the Communist International Labor Defense to aid in legal cases around immigration, deportation & naturalization, especially of Communist Party members and other progressives. It existed until 1982 when it was absorbed back into the ACLU.

Stapled, illustrated wrappers (8 ½” x 5 ½”), 15 pp, two illustrations and three photographs. Faint foxing to wrappers, a couple of tiny stains along the upper spine, Near Fine. Only eight copies of this pamphlet located in OCLC. Item #06665
