According to an editorial note, this pamphlet was first published in March, 1977, and quickly sold out. A polemic by self-identified ex-militants and former members of the Montreal-based Committee to Struggle for Free Abortion and Contraception on Demand. They argue that feminists are “mouthpieces for the bourgeoisie” and that feminism offers no real solutions for women’s oppression. They further contend that by prioritizing abortion and women’s health more generally, that the Committee overlooks other important struggles and further divides the working class by provoking animosity between men and women. A good example of the fractious nature of the New Communist Movement among the radical left. Item #06600
