Right: The National Journal of Forward-Looking Americanism, No. 59, August, 1960

[California: Right], 1960. A two-sided, 7” x 8 ½” sheet. The penultimate issue of Willis Carto’s early newsletter, Right, which he began in 1955. This issue dedicated to Francis Parker Yockey who'd committed suicide in the San Francisco County Jail on June 16, 1960. Carto provides a short biographical profile and an abridged account of Yockey’s clandestine life before accusing the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of hounding him to his death. He concludes by celebrating the ADL’s Pyrrhic victory, which will see Yockey’s martyrdom influencing “an ever-increasing number of minds until the outcome of the final battle of the Western world either assures them of everlasting triumph or obliteration.” Carto was Yockey’s prime champion and was the driving force in keeping his magnum opus, Imperium, in print for future generations.
