Commemorative booklet issued by the New Bedford Port Society at the tablet dedication for Captain George Fred Tilton’s walk held at the Seamen’s Bethel, Johnny Cake Hill, July 16, 1933. Includes an essay, “Tilton’s Walk and the Whaling Tradition” by Cooper Gaw, a list of whaling brevities, photographs of Tilton, a list of contributors to the tablet fund, a group portrait of the Captains of the Stone Fleet, and an address, “Talk to the Sailors on Board Bark ‘Marcella’ in 1845 in the Indian Ocean” by Henry Smith, Captain.
