Radescu fled Romania in 1946 when the Soviets took over. The other half of the pamphlet concerns notes by the Commission, as well as numerous appendices of personal statements on slave labor in Romania. This was the first of a series of booklets on forced labor, peonage, and slavery around the world and was to include the U.S., the Soviet Union, Soviet Occupied Germany, the Baltic States, the Balkans, Latin America, & Africa.
