Pornography: A License to Kill. Marcia WOMONGOLD.

Pornography: A License to Kill

Somerville, Mass.: New England Free Press. Stapled, collaged wrappers; 14, [2] pp. A relatively uncommon pamphlet written by the militant anti-pornography activist and self-described Matriarchist revolutionary, Marcia Womongold, who contends that pornography causes femicide, rape and wife-battering; and although she recommends a variety of legal means to combat the sex industry, she also concludes that “feminists must also act outside the law to effectively confront this abuse.” Womongold founded Women Against Violence Against Women (WAVAW) in 1976 and was a tireless anti-porn activist. She allegedly shot out the windows of a Harvard Square bookstore selling men’s magazines, while other accounts have her shooting into a porn theater for which she received a year probation. Light rubbing and toning to wrappers, but a VG+ copy. WorldCat finds 14 copies. Item #03840

Price: $50.00
