"A psychograph of the South - a paradox of unrest in a land of contentment." Cason, a Southerner, provides a portrait of the South with much in the way of race relations. Some soiling to board edges with very faint dampstaining evident to lower front board; slight musty smell; Very Good. The dust jacket is rubbed and soiled with chipping along the top edge and spine ends; Good. Later reprinted by the University of Alabama Press, copies of this original edition are fairly uncommon.
