Holy Love and SInful Love, Holy Hatred and Sinful Hatred. Rev. Reinhold H. GOETJEN.

Holy Love and SInful Love, Holy Hatred and Sinful Hatred

North Hollywood, California: Messiah Lutheran Church. First edition. Original, stapled wrappers; 32 pp. The author, a Lutheran theologian and pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church, expounds on the Biblical concepts of love and hate and specifically how they relate to the "scourge of Communism." He maintains that the humanistic "love" is anti-Christian and that hate is an appropriate and Biblical response to sin and sinner alike: "Any support that is given to the enemies of God, or of our country and fellow Christians which helps the wicked in their wickedness is not holy love but treason." Sinful love. Goetjen would later become embroiled in a debate with other Lutherans about the veracity of the Holocaust. No other copies currently found in the trade (Jan. 2016); four holdings institutionally via WorldCat, including the author's own alma mater: Concordia Seminary. Near Fine with some toning to wrappers. Item #02439

Price: $20.00
