[Philadelphia]: Philadelphia Post Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, [1940]. First edition. One sheet of white, glossy paper measuring 10.5" x 6.5" folded once to make 4 pp. An invitation/agenda from the Philadelphia branch of the Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade to honor the Philadelphians who died or went missing fighting Franco (their names listed on the back). The featured speaker was Robert Raven, a Pittsburgh volunteer who lost both eyes at the Jarama front and who became a frequent speaker at ALB events. The other listed speaker was Dr. William A Shannon, a prominent physician. No other copies found in the trade (August, 2015), nor is there a record in WorldCat. We were also unable to find a copy in the vast Abraham Lincoln Brigade archive at the Tamiment Library. Some soiling to the front page, a small portion of which stuck to the page behind it resulting in a torn small chunk. Item #02118
