n.p. Privately Printed, 1955. First edition thus. Octavo. Brown, gilt-stamped cloth; 52 pp. INSCRIBED by the author to front endpaper verso. In 1955, F. Rogers, "an American Catholic born in Boston who had served in his country's wars against in Spain in both Cuba and the Philippines," traveled to Spain in 1936 and after consulting his friends in the military and aristocracy decided that Spain's democratically elected leaders had actually seized power through violence and electoral fraud. With a prologue by Frazier Hunt, a preface by Francis Talbot, S. J., a forward by Sir Wilmott Lewis and an introduction by Colonel Theodore Roosevelt. A Very Good copy with shallow crease to both front and rear boards, else Fine. (Preston). Item #01730
