Publisher's blind-ruled, green, pebbled cloth; gilt titling to spine. Top corners are chipped and rounded with some chipping to crown (slight loss, not affecting title); dust-soiled top edge; owner's name to front endpaper; some slight toning to page edges, else clean throughout; London bookseller's stamp to rear endpaper. A Very Good copy. Hugo von Mohl (1805-1872) was a German botanist best known for his anatomical and physiological observations of plant cells. Mohl's work began as an article in Dr. Rudolph Wagner's "Cyclopaedia of Physiology," and was meant to provide Animal Physiology students with "analogies.between the structure and vital functions of animals and plants."
