Announcement of a meeting held to memorialize Ed Stover, an ex-soldier who went AWOL and ended up in California working with a variety of radical organizations. After being arrested for robbing a chemical warehouse he was sent to San Quentin where he was stabbed in the back with a screwdriver and killed. The meeting was also a defense of black political prisoner, Martin Sostre, who’d been imprisoned since 1968 on a series of trumped-up charges. Both men identified as anarchists. Speakers included Pat Murfin of the General Defense Committee, Victor Sanchez of the Martin Sostre Defense Committee and future book dealer, Bill Goring, from the Stover Defense Committee.
